The Jordanian Armed Forces foiled two infiltration and drug smuggling attempts on Saturday, according to an official military source. The southern military region intercepted one attempt by individuals and another using a drone along the western border.

As reported by the Jordan News Agency (Petra), surveillance and tracking efforts enabled Jordanian forces to engage smugglers, forcing their retreat. A search of the area uncovered quantities of narcotics, which were handed over to authorities for further action.

In a separate incident, the military downed a drone loaded with drugs inside Jordanian territory. The drone had been detected and tracked along the western border. The seized contraband was also transferred to the relevant authorities.

The source reiterated that the Jordanian Armed Forces remain committed to using all resources to prevent smuggling and infiltration, ensuring the security and stability of the kingdom.
