Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune announced that Algeria is prepared to construct three hospitals in Gaza if the land borders between Egypt and the Gaza Strip are reopened.

During a public gathering with his supporters in the eastern province of Constantine, President Tebboune stated, “We are ready to take action. The army is prepared, and as soon as the borders (Rafah Crossing from the Palestinian side) are opened, we will build three hospitals within 20 days.”

President Tebboune also expressed his readiness to send hundreds of doctors to Gaza and assist in rebuilding what has been destroyed by the occupation, according to the WAFA news agency.

In the same context, the Algerian President emphasized that what is happening in Gaza is “not a civilized war but massacres committed by the occupation, which aims to resolve the Palestinian issue by eliminating the Palestinians.”

Since October 7, with American support, Israel has launched a devastating war on Gaza, resulting in over 132,000 Palestinian casualties, most of them children and women, along with more than 10,000 missing persons. The war has also caused widespread destruction and a deadly famine.

Despite international condemnation, Tel Aviv continues the war, ignoring the UN Security Council’s resolution to cease the conflict immediately and the International Court of Justice’s orders to take measures to prevent acts of genocide and improve the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza.

Israel has turned the Gaza Strip into the world’s largest open-air prison, besieging it for 18 years and forcing nearly two million of its 2.3 million residents to flee under catastrophic conditions, with severe and deliberate shortages of food, water, and medicine.
