Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and Japanese Foreign Minister Yoko Kamikawa held a phone call on Thursday to address the serious escalation in the region and the ongoing efforts to ensure its security and stability.

According to a statement from the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the ministers discussed the urgent need to de-escalate tensions, beginning with an end to Israeli aggression.

They emphasized the importance of Israel adhering to international law and halting actions that undermine peace and deny the region security and stability.

The conversation also covered humanitarian efforts, including the delivery of aid to Gaza to address the ongoing crisis. Both ministers reaffirmed their commitment to continue coordination and cooperation in providing assistance to the sector.

Additionally, Safadi and Kamikawa reviewed the strong bilateral relations between Jordan and Japan, celebrating seventy years of diplomatic ties and expressing a mutual desire to enhance collaboration across various fields.
