Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, discussed serious developments in the Middle East with Antony Blinken, Secretary of State of the United States, during a phone conversation.

They focused on efforts to end the escalation and achieve a comprehensive and lasting ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

Sheikh Abdullah emphasized the importance of boosting international community efforts to improve the humanitarian response to the escalating crisis and ensure the protection of all civilians in Gaza.

He underscored the need to end extremism, halt escalating tensions and violence in the region, and accelerate efforts to alleviate civilian suffering in Gaza.

Additionally, they discussed developments in Sudan and their humanitarian repercussions.
