Egypt‘s new government, headed by Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, is set to present its program to the House of Representatives during a plenary session at the council’s new headquarters in the New Administrative Capital (NAC).

The House of Representatives, led by Speaker Dr. Hanafi Gebali, announced that, per the parliamentary bylaws, a general session will be held today at the new Administrative Capital headquarters.

During the plenary session, Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly will deliver a statement outlining the new government’s program, which was sworn in before President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi last week. Dr. Madbouly is expected to hand over the complete program to Speaker Dr. Hanafi Gebali.

The new government took the constitutional oath before President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi last Wednesday.

According to Article 146 of the constitution, following the presentation of the government’s program, the House of Representatives will refer it to a special committee for review.

This committee is tasked with studying the program and submitting a report to be discussed in a plenary session within ten days.

Members of the Egyptian government took the oath of office last Wednesday, before President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, in the presence of Prime Minister Madbouly.

“Al Arabiya.net” previously reported exclusively on the outlines of the new ministerial formation and the announcement of the government formation today, Wednesday, as well as the movement of governors and their deputies.

“Al Arabiya.net” also exclusively confirmed the departure of two sovereign ministers in Madbouly’s government, namely Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and Justice Minister Counselor Omar Marwan.
