French newspaper L’Equipe has revealed the worsening crisis between Kylian Mbappé and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), despite his official departure from the club. According to the newspaper, the player, who has transferred to Real Madrid starting from the next season, has sent an official letter to his former club demanding his dues.
The report stated, “PSG has received a warning regarding the payment of overdue salaries and dues amounting to 100 million euros owed to Kylian Mbappé.” It continued, “The 25-year-old player has not received his salaries and bonuses since April.”
The warning was submitted by the French star’s lawyer to the French Professional Football League, which then forwarded it to PSG. The newspaper indicated that the French champions are likely to ignore Mbappé’s demands and will not pay him his salary for the current month of June either.
Kylian Mbappé’s highly anticipated transfer to Real Madrid marks a significant move in his career, leaving PSG where he became one of the world’s top footballers. His departure has been the subject of much speculation and discussion, especially regarding the financial aspects and contractual obligations between him and PSG .
PSG’s reluctance or inability to pay Mbappé his dues might be linked to broader financial management and strategy at the club. The club’s expenditure on player wages, transfer fees, and other operational costs often brings financial scrutiny and impacts its dealings with players .
