Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Emir of Kuwait, welcomed Saudi Arabia‘s Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, at the Bayan Palace on Monday.

The meeting was also attended by Kuwait’s Foreign Minister Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya.

At the beginning of the reception, Prince Faisal conveyed the greetings and appreciation of Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to the Kuwaiti leadership, along with their best wishes for Kuwait’s continued progress and prosperity.

The discussions focused on the strong fraternal ties between Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, reflecting the deep-rooted historical and cultural bonds that unite the two nations.

Also present at the meeting were Prince Sultan bin Saad bin Khalid, Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Kuwait, and Abdulrahman Al-Dawood, Director General of the Office of the Foreign Minister.

The relationship between Kuwait and Saudi Arabia is characterized by a shared history, common cultural values, and strategic cooperation.

Both nations are members of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), which aims to foster economic, political, and security cooperation among its members.

In recent years, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia have collaborated closely on various regional and international issues, including efforts to stabilize oil markets through OPEC and OPEC+ agreements, and addressing regional security challenges.

The two countries also support each other in initiatives aimed at economic diversification and development, as outlined in their respective Vision 2035 and Vision 2030 plans.

The meeting between Sheikh Mishal and Prince Faisal underscores the ongoing commitment of both countries to enhance their bilateral relations and work together towards mutual goals in the region.
