Trade between Morocco and Israel has more than doubled in the first five months of 2023 compared to the same period in 2022, according to the Abraham Accords Institute for Peace. The institute reported a more than 110% increase in trade between Israel and Morocco from January to May 2023.

Meanwhile, trade between Israel and the United Arab Emirates rose by around 42% in the first five months of 2023 compared to the same period last year, and trade between Israel and Bahrain grew by about 24%.

The deputy head of the Abraham Accords Institute for Peace stated that “the trade numbers are far lower than they could or should be,” adding that “the trade opportunities from the Abraham Accords have not reached their full potential, in fact, they have barely scratched the surface.”

Notably, the Moroccan Royal Armed Forces (FAR) have reportedly obtained a shipment of SpyX suicide drones from the Israeli company BlueBird Aero Systems.

This acquisition is aimed at bolstering the artillery and infantry capabilities of the FAR, as stated by the specialized Forum FAR Morocco on its Facebook page.

According to the manufacturer, the SpyX drone is a highly accurate, advanced, and easily deployable unmanned aerial vehicle. Measuring 2 meters in length and 1.4 meters in width, the drone has an operational range of up to 50 kilometers and is powered by electricity.

The SpyX drone can achieve a maximum flight speed of approximately 150 km/hour, which can be increased to 250 km/hour in attack mode, enabling precise targeting of both stationary and moving objects. Additionally, it boasts an endurance of up to 1.5 hours and can withstand explosive charges weighing up to 2.5 kilograms.

The introduction of the SpyX suicide drones is expected to enhance the capabilities of the Moroccan Armed Forces, providing them with an effective tool for reconnaissance and combat operations.
