An Israeli airstrike targeted a civilian vehicle in southern Lebanon on Thursday, resulting in the death of a Hezbollah official and injuries to three civilians.

The deceased, who was also a physics teacher, was killed when shrapnel struck a nearby school bus carrying students.

The injured parties were students on the bus, who were subsequently taken to a hospital in Nabatieh for treatment.

This incident has heightened tensions along the Lebanon-Israel border, which escalated on October 8, 2023, following a rocket attack by Hezbollah in support of Hamas’s operations against Israel.

According to Lebanese military sources, the ongoing conflict has resulted in significant casualties, including both Hezbollah members and civilians.
