Israeli National Security Minister, the controversial Ben-Gvir, has been reported to threaten protesters against him with his personal firearm, aiming the weapon at demonstrators and gesturing as if he would shoot.

Videos circulating on social media show Ben-Gvir pulling out his weapon in response to Israeli protesters demanding the completion of a prisoner exchange with Palestinian factions to release hostages held in Gaza since October 7th.

Ben-Gvir is known for his hardline and extremist positions towards both Israelis and government members, which frequently leads to conflicts, the latest being with Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, who has called for Ben-Gvir’s dismissal.

According to Hebrew media, ongoing disagreements within the Israeli government persist, particularly because of the ongoing war in Gaza. A recent confrontation occurred between Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and Ben-Gvir, during which Gallant walked out of a cabinet meeting while Ben-Gvir was speaking.
