Israel’s proposal to involve Arab states in the administration of Gaza alongside Israel has drawn ire from several Arab nations.

Reports indicate Egypt, Qatar, and other Arab countries rejected the Israeli proposal, expressing anger at the idea.

Mediators informed the US of their strong rejection of Israel’s continued governance of Gaza post-war.

Cairo demanded the reopening of the Rafah border crossing to allow aid entry, criticizing the blockade’s impact on Gazans.

Egypt sent a stern message to Israel, refusing to return to talks until the crossing reopens, allowing aid convoys unhindered passage.

Israeli forces began evacuating neighborhoods in eastern Rafah on May 6th, seizing the crossing the next day.

Today, Israel announced “expanding operations” in additional eastern neighborhoods, disregarding international warnings, interpreting it as a phased ground invasion of Rafah, considered a Hamas stronghold.
