The United States Department of Defense (the Pentagon) announced that a meeting of the Joint Military Committee with Jordan addressed what it termed as the “destabilizing effects of ongoing conflicts” in the region.
According to the statement, senior defense officials from both sides convened to discuss combatting the proliferation of drones in the region.
The meeting also emphasized the importance of maintaining security along Jordan’s borders with Iraq and Syria.
US officials expressed their support for the modernization of Jordan’s fleet of F-16 aircraft.
The statement underscored US officials’ commitment to continuing efforts aimed at bolstering Jordanian air defense capabilities, particularly in countering drones.
