Today, the US Central Command announced that a vessel affiliated with the coalition led by the United States to secure navigation in the Red Sea intercepted an anti-ship missile launched by the Houthis over the Gulf of Aden from their controlled areas in Yemen.

The statement from the command indicated that the incident targeted the vessel MV Yorcktown, described as a vessel owned by an American company flying the American flag.

According to the statement, the crew of the mentioned vessel includes 18 Americans and 4 Greeks.

The US Central Command stated that it has not received any reports of injuries or damage to American ships, coalition ships, or merchant vessels.

It also noted the success of its forces in destroying four drones over Houthi-controlled areas in Yemen.

Yesterday, the Houthi group claimed responsibility for targeting an American vessel in the Gulf of Aden with a number of naval missiles, stating that they hit it directly.

At the same time, the British Maritime Trade Operations announced that a vessel in the Gulf of Aden had been involved in a security incident.
