For the second consecutive day, Israeli missiles targeted Syrian territory, destroying a building annexed to the Iranian Embassy on the Mezzeh highway in Damascus, resulting in the preliminary death toll of six individuals.
There are confirmed reports of targeting an Iranian leadership figure, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
On Sunday, the Observatory reported that at least four Israeli missiles targeted the scientific research area in Jamraya, Damascus, igniting fires at the site.
Syrian air defenses attempted to intercept targets in the sky above the area. Ambulances rushed to the targeted site concurrently with the attack.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has documented 30 instances of Israeli attacks on Syrian territory since the beginning of 2024, including 22 aerial and 8 ground attacks.
These strikes have hit and destroyed approximately 59 targets, including weapon and ammunition warehouses, headquarters, centers, and vehicles.
These strikes have resulted in the deaths of 115 military personnel and wounded another 47 with varying degrees of injuries.
