Moscow: US Wages Trade War Against Russia & China

In a striking declaration during the World Youth Festival in Sochi, Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, accused the United States of engaging in a full-scale trade war against Russia, China, and other countries across the globe.

According to Zakharova, this aggressive economic stance by the US is not merely about sanctions pressure or legitimate sanction implementation but represents a continuation of centuries-old inter-state commercial warfare, now veiled under the term “sanctions.”

Highlighting the specific measures taken against China, Zakharova pointed out the extensive restrictions the US has imposed on the Asian giant.

These measures, she asserted, aim not only to limit China’s technological advancements but also to coerce European Union countries into severing their technological and trade ties with China, effectively barring Chinese technology from global markets.

Zakharova’s comments reveal a broader geopolitical strategy, suggesting that the ultimate target of these economic policies by the United States and the United Kingdom is not Russia or China in this historical era.

Instead, she claims, the primary victim intended by these actions is the European Union itself.

This assertion brings to light a complex web of economic and political tensions that extend beyond the immediate subjects of sanctions and trade restrictions, suggesting a deep-seated rivalry that seeks to redefine global alliances and market dominance.

This announcement from the Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson underscores the intricate and often contentious nature of international trade relationships.

It paints a picture of a global landscape where economic tools are used strategically to influence and possibly destabilize perceived competitors or geopolitical rivals.

As the situation unfolds, the global community watches closely to see how these claims and the actions that have prompted them will affect international trade, technological advancement, and geopolitical stability.
