In a significant move towards enhancing diplomatic and cooperative ties, Algeria and Kazakhstan have expressed a mutual desire to fortify their bilateral relations and expand areas of collaboration.

This was highlighted during the second session of the Algerian-Kazakhstani political consultations held in Algiers, led by the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Alibek Bakayev, and the Secretary-General of the Algerian Foreign Ministry, Lounas Magramane.

The Algerian Foreign Ministry, in a statement, noted that the session provided an opportunity to review the current state of bilateral cooperation across various sectors.

Both parties emphasized the importance of swiftly establishing a joint commission for economic, commercial, scientific, and technical cooperation. This commission is expected to frame and reinvigorate the bilateral relations in these areas, reflecting the true potential of both nations.

Furthermore, the discussions extended to international and regional issues of mutual interest, notably the situation in the Sahel region and the occupied Palestinian territories.

The exchange of views led to a convergence on several positions between the two countries, underscoring their shared perspectives on these critical matters.

This diplomatic engagement marks a significant step towards strengthening the ties between Algeria and Kazakhstan, with both nations keen on updating and enriching the legal framework governing their relations.

The commitment to establishing a joint commission signifies a proactive approach to enhancing their partnership, promising a new impetus to their bilateral relations that could unlock the vast potentials of both countries.
