Units of the Syrian Arab Army have retaliated against violations by terrorists in the “de-escalation zone” ceasefire agreement, successfully eliminating over 10 militants from the al-Nusra Front terrorist organization near the illegal Turkish occupation base at Taftanaz Airport in eastern Idlib countryside.

Concurrently, Syrian-Russian warplanes targeted ISIS terrorist hideouts in the eastern Homs desert, western Raqqa, and southern Deir Ezzor.

Field sources in the “de-escalation zone” reported that the Syrian Arab Army’s responses to terrorist breaches of the ceasefire, effective since the Russian-Turkish “Moscow Agreement” in early March 2020, have inflicted significant human losses on terrorists across regions from northern Latakia countryside, through Al-Ghab Plain west of Hama, to southern and eastern Idlib, and extending to western Aleppo countryside.

These areas are known strongholds of terrorist groups, especially those affiliated with al-Nusra and its current facade, “Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham”, leading the so-called “Al-Fath Al-Mubin” operations room.

Sources confirmed to “Al-Watan” that over 10 terrorists were killed and twice as many wounded in a rocket barrage by the Syrian Arab Army targeting al-Nusra positions surrounding Taftanaz Airport, which serves as a military base for Turkish occupation forces.

Terrorists often seek refuge near Turkish military bases and illegal observation points to launch attacks against Syrian Army positions.

The army’s bombardment of al-Nusra points around Taftanaz Airport, the second of its kind since last Wednesday, extended to the military road connecting the Turkish military base to an illegal observation point in the town of Afs southeast of the airport, signaling the army’s zero tolerance for terrorist factions regardless of their locations.

Sources also highlighted that the Syrian Arab Army’s artillery shelling targeted gatherings of “Al-Fath Al-Mubin” terrorists in the vicinity of towns like Sfuhun, Al-Fatirah, Fleifel, and Benin along the frontlines in Jabal al-Zawiya in southern Idlib, Al-Ghab Plain in western Hama, and Kabani area in Jabal Akrad in northern Latakia, causing severe human and military losses among the terrorists.

In response to attacks targeting its positions near the villages of Al-Shaalah and Mudiouna in eastern Aleppo countryside, the Syrian Arab Army inflicted direct hits on Turkish occupation forces and their mercenaries, dubbed “The National Army”, particularly around the town of Fafertin in the Afrin region north of Aleppo.

A field source informed “Al-Watan” that the frontlines in the northern and western Al-Ghab Plain experienced a cautious calm, attributed to recent heavy rains and the army’s intensive targeting of terrorist positions in recent days.

In the desert regions, the joint Syrian-Russian air force conducted several airstrikes on ISIS positions, with eight airstrikes targeting ISIS in the eastern Homs desert, western Raqqa, and southern Deir Ezzor, effectively destroying terrorist hideouts.

Meanwhile, the “Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF)” reportedly arrested dozens of its militants and civilians following the assassination of one of its leaders affiliated with the “Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK)” in a car explosion in downtown Qamishli last Monday, according to opposition websites.

The websites cited a well-informed source stating that the deceased “commander”, of Turkish nationality named “Renas Amed”, originated from Diyarbakir.
