The Saudi Ministry of Interior unveiled the first electric security car equipped with the latest artificial intelligence (AI) technologies at the World Defense Show 2024. Manufactured by Lucid Motors, a leading electric vehicle company, the car represents a quantum leap in the use of technology to serve security and public order.
Advanced Technology and Innovation
Advanced technology and innovation are the two main elements in the design of this car. It is equipped with sophisticated AI systems that allow for the detection of security violations with high accuracy. The car has technologies that enable it to recognize license plates of violating vehicles and wanted persons, as well as analyze their behavior by reading facial expressions using 6 built-in cameras. This enhances the capabilities of security agencies in monitoring and analyzing very quickly using AI.
Drone Technology
The car is also equipped with a flying drone capable of capturing images of places where accidents or criminal incidents occur, providing a comprehensive view and speeding up the process of collecting the data needed to deal with accidents.
Made in Saudi Arabia
The car was manufactured at Lucid’s factory in King Abdullah Economic City in Jeddah, reflecting Saudi Arabia’s ambition to support local industry and move towards sustainability. The aim of producing these cars is not only to enhance security, but also to support the Saudi Green Initiative, launched by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman to reduce carbon emissions and plant trees in Saudi Arabia.
