Today, armed Iraqi factions have declared the targeting of the Israeli port of Haifa with drones, according to the “Arab World News Agency.”

The factions, affiliated with the so-called “Islamic Resistance in Iraq,” released a statement indicating that they have attacked the port in solidarity with the people of Gaza and in response to what they described as Israel’s atrocities against the Palestinian people.

The statement affirmed the intent to continue launching such attacks.

Armed Iraqi factions have previously targeted Israeli ports in the Red Sea and the Mediterranean, as well as several US bases in Iraq and Syria since the beginning of the conflict in Gaza on October 7th of last year.

The drone attack on Haifa Port by Iraqi militant groups highlights the ongoing regional instability and underscores the need for diplomatic efforts to address the root causes of conflict.
