The statement outlined the proceedings, stating, “The fourteenth session of the Algerian-Italian Joint Committee for Technical-Military Cooperation and Defense Industry was held in Algeria on January 29th and 30th. Major General Mohamed Salah Ben Bicha, Secretary-General of the Algerian Ministry of National Defense, warmly welcomed General Portolano Luciano, Secretary-General of the Italian Ministry of Defense and National Director of Weapons, for an exchange of perspectives on issues of mutual interest.”

Further elaborating on the discussions, the statement noted, “Subsequently, both parties presided over the fourteenth session of the Algerian-Italian Joint Committee, during which they assessed the activities conducted in 2023 and discussed the activity program for 2024.

The session provided an opportunity to bolster cooperation in various domains between the armies of the two countries.”
