During the recent unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series, Google introduced a range of AI-driven features designed for these new smartphones.

Among these, the search gesture function stands out for its innovative approach, allowing users to begin a search by simply circling or tapping on their screen content.

This feature eliminates the need for traditional typing or cumbersome navigation, offering a quick and intuitive way to explore content of interest.

Tech expert Mishaal Rahman has shared that this handy search tool will soon be available on the Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, potentially as soon as January 31st. This feature is set to further improve the user experience on these advanced devices.

A video demonstration showed the ease of activating the search gesture, which involves pressing and holding the navigation bar.

This feature’s implementation in the Pixel line will bring changes to the settings menu, allowing users to easily customize and control the new feature.

To utilize this AI-based search function, Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro users might need to install an updated version of the Google app. Official announcements from Google are expected soon, detailing the deployment schedule and specific application updates.

The addition of search gestures to the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro represents a significant advancement in smartphone interaction.

This user-friendly method of accessing information could transform how we navigate the digital world, offering a quicker, smoother, and more enjoyable experience.
