The Italian Foreign Minister, Antonio Tajani, has announced that Italy has halted arms supplies to Israel following the commencement of the conflict in Gaza.

In an interview with the newspaper “Cotidiano Nazionale,” the minister stated, “Since the beginning of the Gaza conflict, Italy has ceased sending any type of weapons to Israel.

All such actions are now prohibited, and we have suspended all deliveries of weapon systems and military equipment of any kind.”

Tajani’s statement was in response to allegations made by the leader of the opposition Democratic Party, Elie Shaheen, who called for a halt to arms supplies to the Middle East, especially to Israel, in order to prevent further escalation of conflicts in the region.

Tajani remarked, “Shaheen is speaking about things that do not exist. This is pure propaganda. The Democratic Party should be better informed.”

The decision by Italy to suspend arms supplies to Israel is a significant development in the ongoing conflict in Gaza.

It reflects growing international concern over the situation and a desire to prevent the escalation of violence. Italy’s move aligns with calls for a ceasefire and a peaceful resolution to the conflict in the region.
