In a significant blow to drug smuggling activities, the Border Guard’s ground patrols in the Al-Aridah sector of Jazan region successfully thwarted an attempt to smuggle 115 kilograms of the narcotic plant, qat.
The ground patrols of the Border Guard stated that they have completed the preliminary legal procedures and handed over the seized items to the relevant authorities.
The security agencies have urged the public to report any information they have about activities related to drug smuggling or trafficking.
