The Euro 2024 qualifiers are in full swing, with all the home nations vying for a spot in the prestigious tournament. While England and France enjoyed comfortable victories over their opponents, Wales suffered a setback with a 4-2 defeat against Armenia on home soil.

England showcased their dominance by securing a six-point lead over Ukraine, Italy, and North Macedonia, albeit having played one more match. Their convincing performance against international minnows cemented their position as front-runners in Group A.

Meanwhile, Italy, currently engaged in the Nations League finals, earned their first points in a thrilling comeback victory against North Macedonia, triumphing 3-2. The victory revitalised their campaign and injected fresh momentum into their qualifying journey.

In Group B, France continued their winning streak by defeating Greece. A late own goal by Aymen Mouelhi sealed a comprehensive 3-0 victory for the World Cup runners-up. With a perfect record of three wins from three games, France sits comfortably at the top of the group, three points clear of Greece.

For Wales, the road to Euro 2024 became more challenging after their disappointing loss to Armenia in Cardiff. Having qualified for the previous two European Championships and performed admirably in the knockout stages, Wales now faces an uphill battle to secure a spot in the upcoming tournament.

In other matches, Kazakhstan and Finland both secured crucial wins against San Marino (3-0) and Slovenia (2-0) respectively, placing them on level ground with six points in their respective groups.

Switzerland maintained their flawless record in Group I, claiming a hard-fought 2-1 victory against Andorra. With three wins out of three, they currently lead the group by two points ahead of Romania, who settled for a goalless draw against Kosovo.

The Euro 2024 qualifiers continue to provide thrilling encounters and surprises, as teams battle it out for a chance to compete in the highly anticipated tournament in Germany next year.
