Jeffrey MacDonald, a communications advisor for the Canadian government, has refuted claims suggesting Canada endorses the voluntary migration of Palestinians to the country.

In his statement, MacDonald clarified that such allegations are unfounded. He explained, “Canada is actively cooperating with regional partners to facilitate the evacuation of Canadian citizens, residents, and their families who fulfill the required criteria from the Gaza Strip while providing the necessary support for this purpose.”

MacDonald also mentioned that Canada is introducing an immigration initiative designed for Gaza Strip inhabitants with Canadian family ties.

This program will offer them the opportunity to apply for a temporary visa, with their applications and assessments receiving priority consideration.

This response comes in the wake of reports from Zionist media outlets claiming that Canadian Immigration Minister Mark Miller, during his recent visit to Tel Aviv, expressed Canada’s support for the “voluntary immigration” of Palestinians to Canada.

In previous remarks, Minister of Immigration, Mark Miller, stated the measures include expanding the eligibility criteria used by Canada to bring citizens, permanent residents, and their immediate family members out of the region.

“This … allows us a greater set of people that may not be permanent residents or Canadians but represent the family of people that are close to Canadians,” Miller added.

Miller further explained that hundreds of people could benefit from the program. The government reported that as of December 3rd, over 600 people evacuated from Gaza had arrived in Canada.
