Libya Holds Security Meeting to Discuss Security Plan for 2024

Officials from the Tripoli Security Directorate gathered on Saturday to discuss the security action plan for the upcoming year, 2024.

The meeting was attended by the Director of Tripoli Security, General Khalil Waheeb, along with his deputies responsible for security and public affairs. Several security and administrative leaders were also present.

During the meeting, they reviewed the current security action strategy and outlined key security plan objectives in conjunction with the start of the new Gregorian year.

General Waheeb expressed his gratitude to the police officers for their dedicated efforts in recent times, which have led to successes in various aspects of security work, according to a statement issued by the directorate.

Security leaders from various offices and departments discussed the main challenges they faced during 2023 and proposed solutions to address these issues in the new year.

The Director of Security emphasized the importance of “treating citizens well, respecting human rights, and considering the human aspect while implementing the security plan.”

General Waheeb also called for providing full support and care to police officers, contributing to the guidance of all resources and capabilities for them to fulfill their national role in maintaining security.

This meeting underscores the commitment of Tripoli’s security authorities to enhancing safety and maintaining order in the region as they plan for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead in 2024.
