Mohamed Menfi, the Head of the Libyan Presidential Council, reiterated his support for the Palestinian cause and the right to self-determination during a meeting with the Special Envoy of the Palestinian President, Dr. Nabil Abu Rdinah.

Menfi emphasized the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and called for the unhindered entry of humanitarian aid into the region.

The meeting, attended by the Chargé d’Affaires of the State of Palestine to Libya, Mohamed Rahal, included discussions on the ongoing situation in Palestine and the broader Middle East.

The Palestinian Special Envoy conveyed greetings from President Mahmoud Abbas and expressed appreciation for Libya’s consistent stance on the Palestinian cause, especially at various international forums.

The renewed calls for a ceasefire and support for humanitarian efforts underscore Libya’s commitment to addressing the pressing humanitarian crisis in Gaza and advocating for the rights of the Palestinian people.

The diplomatic efforts align with international calls for de-escalation and the alleviation of suffering in the conflict-affected region.
