Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi reaffirmed his country’s unyielding support for Iraq’s security and stability and pride in the depth and strength of strategic relations between the two nations.

During a meeting with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, El-Sisi emphasized Egypt’s keenness to enhance and diversify the frameworks of mutual cooperation in various political, economic, commercial, and cultural fields.

The commitment extends to the bilateral level as well as through the tripartite cooperation mechanism with Jordan.

The Iraqi Prime Minister arrived in Egypt on Monday, marking his second visit within approximately 100 days. He is leading an extensive delegation, including 12 ministers from various service and security ministries, in addition to a number of Iraqi businessmen meeting their Egyptian counterparts.

Meanwhile, the Iraqi Ministry of Trade revealed the completion of ten agreements between Cairo and Baghdad, set to be signed by the prime ministers of both countries during Al Sudani’s visit.

The deals span various areas including sports and youth, housing, reconstruction, labor, and social affairs.
