Al-Azhar Denounces Israel's Actions in Gaza

Al-Azhar, the prestigious Islamic institution in Egypt, has issued a strong demand for the international community to prosecute “the terrorist Zionist entity, which lacks any sense of humanity and perpetrates acts of genocide and war crimes.”

In a statement, Al-Azhar called for the trial of Israel, citing its acts of terrorism and the complete isolation of the Gaza Strip.

The institution denounced Israel for withholding fuel and medical supplies from hospitals, causing many of them to shut down, resulting in the deaths of patients in intensive care and infants in maternity wards at Al-Shifa Hospital.

Additionally, Israel’s relentless shelling of the hospital’s surroundings has claimed the lives of numerous innocent civilians, and it has prevented their burial. Anyone attempting to enter or exit the hospital has also been targeted.

Al-Azhar urged the international community, human rights organizations, and international institutions to take immediate action to break this “inhuman siege” imposed by the terrorist Zionists on hospitals and healthcare centers. It emphasized that silence in the face of these crimes is a stain on humanity and the international community.

The institution placed responsibility for these heinous crimes on anyone who supports this criminal entity, whether through endorsement or silence. Al-Azhar condemned Israel for its actions and stressed the urgency of addressing this dire humanitarian situation.

Al-Azhar concluded by commending the brave doctors in Gaza who have been at the forefront of saving the wounded and providing care to the injured.

These healthcare professionals have faced the brutal bombings of the terrorist entity without fear, even performing surgeries under challenging conditions, often without anesthesia and outside the operating rooms.

Al-Azhar prayed for their strength, protection, and safety, asking for divine intervention to shield them from harm and adversity.

The statement called upon all free-minded individuals worldwide to distance themselves from supporting an entity that has demonstrated cruelty, disregarded mercy and humanity, and spilled the blood of innocents, including children, women, the elderly, and the infirm, committing atrocities that even wild animals in the jungle would shun.
