In a surprising turn of events, Napoli, the Italian football club, has decided to part ways with their French coach, Rudi Garcia, citing a string of disappointing results.

Napoli suffered an unexpected 1-0 defeat against Empoli on Sunday at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium, as part of the 12th round of the Italian Serie A.

According to reports from “Calciomercato,” the loss to Empoli proved to be the final blow to Rudi Garcia’s hopes of continuing as Napoli’s coach. The decision was made by Napoli’s management, led by President Aurelio De Laurentiis, after Garcia led the team in 12 Serie A matches and 4 UEFA Champions League encounters.

The club is now actively searching for a suitable replacement to fill Garcia’s shoes as soon as possible, with the team set to resume training next Wednesday.

Napoli had attempted to secure the services of Antonio Conte back in October but faced rejection, making it challenging to approach him again. Other names in consideration for the coaching role include Fabio Cannavaro and Walter Mazzarri. However, Igor Tudor remains the frontrunner for the position after leaving his coaching role at French club Marseille approximately five months ago.

Currently, Napoli sits in fourth place in the Serie A standings with 21 points, trailing league leaders Inter Milan by a significant 10-point margin.
