Saudi Arabia & Qatar Discuss Situation in Gaza

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia welcomed Qatar’s Amir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, at the Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh today. During their meeting, they discussed the strong fraternal relations between the two countries and ways to support and enhance them across various fields, in line with the mutual interests of both nations and their people.

The discussions also covered current developments, particularly the evolving situation in the Gaza Strip, efforts to cease aggression, protect civilians, and expedite humanitarian aid delivery. Additionally, they explored means to support security and stability in the region.

The reception was attended by several high-ranking officials from both Saudi Arabia and Qatar, including Saudi Minister of State and Council of Ministers’ Member, Prince Turki bin Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Minister of Sports, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Minister of Interior, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Minister of National Guard, Prince Abdullah bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Minister of Defense, Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, and Saudi Minister of State and Council of Ministers’ National Security Advisor, Dr. Musaid bin Mohammed Al-Aiban.

From the Qatari side, the delegation included Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Chief of the Amiri Diwan, Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa, President of the State Security Bureau, along with other senior officials.

Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani’s visit to Riyadh coincided with his participation in the extraordinary session of the Arab League Summit and the exceptional Islamic Summit.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman was at the forefront of those welcoming Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani at King Khalid International Airport. He was joined by Deputy Governor of the Riyadh Region, Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Minister of State and Council of Ministers’ National Security Advisor, Dr. Musaid bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, Saudi Ambassador to Qatar, Prince Mansour bin Khalid bin Farhan, Qatari Ambassador to the Kingdom, Bandar Mohammed Al-Attiyah, and Deputy Director of Riyadh Region’s Police, Major General Mansour bin Nasser Al-Otaibi.
