Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry condemned all Israeli practices aimed at imposing a new fait accompli to force Palestinians to be displaced, forcibly relocated and deported from their lands, pointing out that the number of displaced people in Gaza has reached one third of its population, and this is a serious violation of international humanitarian law.

The foreign minister added during the Azza support Conference, held in the French capital Paris, that since the outbreak of the war in Gaza, the Egyptian people, through civil society and government organizations, have provided humanitarian assistance amounting to 5,400 tons of aid, despite the economic challenges they face, while the assistance provided by the total members of the international community has not exceeded this amount.

The assistance provided so far does not meet the civilian needs in Gaza at all, and the complex and deliberate measures imposed by Israel to introduce humanitarian aid only aggravate the deteriorating conditions in the Strip and raise doubts about its goals.

He revealed that Egypt demanded the importance of an immediate and sustainable ceasefire.
