On Sunday, Turkey’s Health Minister Fahrettin Koca announced that two Turkish vessels have been granted permission to dock at Egyptian ports, as a part of a humanitarian initiative aimed at aiding the injured in Gaza.

These vessels are equipped with field hospitals and designated ambulances.

Koca mentioned that he had a telephone conversation on Saturday with his Egyptian counterpart, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, where they discussed the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.

They agreed to transfer approximately one thousand injured and ailing Palestinians to Egypt through the Rafah crossing.

Prominently benefiting from this Turkish initiative will be cancer patients who were receiving treatment at the Turkish-Palestinian Friendship Hospital in Gaza before it became inoperative.

Furthermore, Minister Koca elaborated that there are plans to transfer cancer patients and emergency cases to Turkey via air ambulances and floating hospitals, showcasing Turkey’s ongoing commitment to providing medical aid and support to the Palestinian people during these trying times.
