The Interior Ministry of the Libyan Government National Unity (GNU) announced the successful rescue operation of ten Syrians who had been abducted by armed kidnappers in the Raqdaline region on the western coast.
The incident came to light when the Information and Investigation Office, along with the Criminal Investigation Department of the Western Plain Security Directorate, received a report about the abduction of a Syrian girl in Raqdaline by unidentified individuals.
Following the report, the investigative officers initiated their search, gathering vital information related to the case. Their dedicated efforts led to the arrest of three individuals implicated in the incident, all of whom have prior criminal records, as stated in a statement released by the Ministry on their official Facebook page.
Upon apprehending the suspects in an abandoned house in Raqdaline, ten Syrians, who had been kidnapped using force, were set free.
The Ministry’s statement further revealed that the abducted Syrians were taken from in front of the Dolphin Hotel in the city of Zuwara. The reported girl had been transported to Zuwara, where coordination with the Criminal Investigation Department of the Zuwara Security Directorate was established to assist in her rescue.
