Pakistani authorities have announced the successful neutralization of eight terrorists in two separate operations conducted by counter-terrorism forces in the southwestern province of Balochistan.
According to the Counter-Terrorism Department of the local police, an intense security operation in the Washuk area of the province resulted in the elimination of five terrorists. The militants engaged in a firefight with law enforcement personnel before attempting to flee, leading to their demise.
In another operation carried out in the city of Quetta, Pakistani forces eliminated three terrorists who had been holding a civilian hostage for the past two weeks. The operation also led to the seizure of ammunition and weapons from the militants.
