A convoy of 70 trucks carrying humanitarian aid crossed into Gaza on Saturday, 25 November, on the second day of the Israel-Hamas ceasefire, according to reports.
It comes after aid reached northern Gaza for the first time in over a month on Friday.
The Red Crescent in Gaza confirmed that it had received 196 trucks filled with humanitarian aid on Friday, including water, medical supplies, and medicine, as the organization awaits another 61 trucks filled with medical supplies to northern areas in the Gaza Strip.
The supplies will finally make their way to northern areas of the Gaz Strip, following a siege that lasted nearly 50 days in these areas.
The UN said the pause has enabled it to scale up the delivery of food, water, and medicine to the largest volume since the resumption of humanitarian aid convoys on 21 October.
All imports into Gaza have been barred by Israel throughout the conflict, except for a minimal amount of supplies from Egypt.
