Six people were injured due to the explosion of an improvised explosive device (IED) planted next to the Panorama roundabout in the city of Daraa.

A source from the Daraa Police Command stated that the situation has returned to normal following the explosion. The device, planted by unknown individuals, led to precautionary sweeping operations in the area. The injured were transported to Daraa National Hospital for treatment.

Recently, Daraa province has seen an escalation in assassination operations and targeted attacks. A government delegation was attacked with an IED and machine gun fire during a work tour in the countryside of Daraa, including Daraa Governor Luai Kharita and other officials, resulting in several minor injuries.

Additionally, last Thursday, the Syrian Ministry of Interior reported that three members of the internal security forces were killed by an armed group while they were on their way to work at the “Nassib” border crossing in rural Daraa.
