In a heartbreaking turn of events, the Palestinian Ministry of Health has reported the tragic deaths of 39 infants in the intensive care units (ICUs) within Gaza, all due to a severe lack of oxygen. This devastating news was conveyed in an urgent report by “Al-Qahira Al-Ikhbariya,” a news channel.

The Israeli occupation forces have continued their intensive and unprecedented onslaught on the Gaza Strip for 36 consecutive days, launching attacks by air, sea, and land. This relentless assault has resulted in the loss of thousands of lives, with the majority being children, women, and elderly individuals. Additionally, hundreds of people remain trapped under the rubble due to the perilous conditions on the ground.

Ambulance services in Gaza are facing tremendous difficulties in transporting the wounded and the bodies of the deceased. The ongoing Israeli bombardment in various areas of the Gaza Strip has compounded the challenges faced by medical and rescue teams.

The tragic loss of these 39 infants underscores the urgent need for humanitarian assistance and a cessation of hostilities in the region. The international community continues to call for an immediate ceasefire and efforts to alleviate the suffering of the people in Gaza, particularly those in critical medical conditions. The situation remains dire, with innocent lives hanging in the balance as the conflict persists.

The Libyan Public Prosecutor's Office has ordered the detention of a criminal gang, consisting of seven Libyans and two Palestinians, pending an investigation into their involvement in illegal immigration and human trafficking operations. According to a statement from the Attorney General's office, a deputy prosecutor at the General Prosecutor's Office at the Tripoli Court of Appeals is handling the investigation, which was initiated based on evidence provided by an officer from the intelligence agency. This evidence purportedly demonstrates the group's involvement in coordinating the receipt of proceeds from organizing illegal immigration outside the country. The media office added that the investigation revealed the suspects managed the transfer of proceeds to other countries across the Mediterranean through the parallel market, despite knowing that the intermediary was subject to sanctions imposed by the U.S. Treasury Department. The suspects were also aware that these proceeds were part of operations conducted by organizations involved in illegal immigration and human trafficking. Consequently, the investigation has led to the detention of the seven Libyans and two Palestinians for further inquiry.
