Two Palestinians, including a teenager, were killed by Israeli army gunfire in separate incidents on Tuesday amidst Palestinian warnings of a potential escalation in the field.
Palestinian medical sources reported the death of a 16-year-old boy in Jericho, north of the West Bank, as a result of Israeli army gunfire.
The Israeli army, in a statement, said the Palestinian had carried out a shooting incident in Jericho without causing any injuries. When pursued, he opened fire on Border Guard forces, who responded by returning fire and neutralizing him.
Last Tuesday, Palestinian sources announced the killing of a young man and the critical injury of another by Israeli army gunfire during a raid on the Nur Shams refugee camp in Tulkarm.
The official Palestinian news agency, Wafa, reported that one young man died after being shot in the head with live ammunition, while another sustained serious injuries to the upper left limb.
According to the agency, a large contingent of the army, supported by two military bulldozers, raided the Nur Shams camp, entered several residential homes, and then demolished a major street along with several vehicles and shops in the area.

The Israeli army stated that its forces detonated several explosive devices found inside buildings in the Nur Shams camp. Additionally, they discovered ready-to-use explosives and equipment used in the manufacturing of device.
