Reports from Turkish media today have confirmed a random gunfire incident in Istanbul that left two people injured.

The incident occurred around noon in the Sultan Ghazi 75 Yil neighborhood.

Two individuals on a motorcycle opened fire on a crowd gathered on the sidewalk while riding down Fuzi Cakmak Street, then quickly fled the scene.

One person sustained a gunshot wound to the leg, prompting the immediate response of police and medical teams to the location.

Additionally, five bullet casings were found at the scene, with two of them hitting a parked car.

The identity and motives of the assailants remain unknown at this time, but the police have launched an operation to locate and apprehend the individuals responsible for the indiscriminate shooting.

Residents and local authorities are understandably alarmed by this incident, as such random acts of violence are rare in Istanbul.

It highlights the need for law enforcement agencies to swiftly resolve the case, bring the perpetrators to justice, and ensure the safety and security of the local community.
