On Saturday, health officials reported that at least 19 Palestinians were killed overnight in Israeli military strikes on Gaza. The attacks are part of an ongoing military operation, as Israeli forces continue their advance in the Jabalia area, where international aid organizations warn that thousands of civilians are trapped.

Residents of northern Gaza said Israeli forces are targeting the Jabalia refugee camp by air and ground.

While Israel has not issued any new statements, the Israeli military recently confirmed that it had killed dozens of militants in Jabalia and nearby areas. The army also reported discovering weapons and dismantling Hamas military infrastructure in the region. The operation in Jabalia began a week ago, with the Israeli military stating its objective is to eliminate Hamas fighters responsible for launching attacks and prevent the group from reorganizing.

Palestinian health officials estimate that 150 Palestinians have been killed in Jabalia in the past week alone.

The Gaza Ministry of Health announced on Saturday that 42,175 people have been killed in Israel’s ongoing war on Gaza, which has lasted for over a year. In addition, the ministry reported that the number of injured and wounded from Israeli attacks since October 7, 2023, has risen to 98,336.
