The Media Center of the Red Sea Ports Authority has announced a bustling period at its ports, with a total of eight ships currently docked and handling operations encompassing 10,000 tons of miscellaneous general cargo.
The ports have facilitated the movement of 578 trucks and 120 cars.
Import activities accounted for 4,500 tons of cargo, involving 272 trucks and 115 cars. On the export side, the ports managed 5,500 tons of goods, with 306 trucks and 5 cars contributing to the outbound logistics.
Significant movements were noted at Safaga Port, which welcomed the vessels Poseidon Express and Al Hurriya 2. The ferry Amal was also reported to have departed.
Meanwhile, Nuweiba Port saw considerable activity with 3,460 tons of cargo and 290 trucks managed through shuttle voyages involving four ships named Queen, Bridge, Ore, and Waela.
Port Tawfiq is also preparing for the departure of the ship Dora Jeddah, which is set to sail to Jeddah today.
In total, the ports under the authority’s management recorded the transit of 1,190 passengers.

Saudi Arabia expressed its “grave concern” over the ongoing military operations in the Red Sea and the air raids targeting locations in Yemen.
The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated, “The Kingdom is deeply concerned about the military operations in the Red Sea region and the air strikes that several sites in the Republic of Yemen have been subjected to.”
The ministry emphasized the significance of maintaining the security and stability of the Red Sea region, which is internationally deemed crucial due to its impact on global navigation and interests.
In its statement, the Saudi Foreign Ministry called for restraint and avoiding further escalation amid the current regional events.
