On Wednesday, the U.S. Department of Defense, known as the Pentagon, announced that it has allocated a fresh military assistance package valued at $1.3 billion for Ukraine.

The Pentagon’s statement highlighted that this new aid package comprises four “NASAMS” anti-aircraft missile systems, artillery shells, and an undisclosed number of “Phoenix Ghost” and “Switchblade” unmanned aerial vehicles.

In addition, the Pentagon intends to deliver mine-clearing equipment, 150 fuel trucks, and 115 tactical vehicles for equipment towing and transportation. The package is set to include secure tactical communications systems and electronic warfare systems that will be sent to Kyiv.

The United States had previously, on June 13th, declared a $325 million military aid package for Ukraine, featuring armored vehicles and ammunition. “The United States is allocating $325 million for a military aid package for Ukraine,” stated the U.S. State Department.

The most recent U.S. aid to Ukraine incorporates 15 “Bradley” combat vehicles and 10 “Stryker” armored transport vehicles.

The new aid package from the United States will provide Ukraine with “NASAMS” and “Stinger” anti-aircraft missiles, “Javelin” anti-tank missiles, “TOW” and shoulder-launched “AT4” missiles, as well as 22 million rounds of ammunition and grenades.
