US warplanes struck several sites in the eastern Syrian province of Deir el-Zour on Tuesday, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.
The airstrikes targeted military points near the town of al-Mayadeen and the village of Ain Ali, the Observatory said. The strikes came a day after US airstrikes hit a base used by Iranian-backed militias in the same area.
The Observatory said it was not immediately clear if there were any casualties in the latest airstrikes.
The US military has not yet commented on the airstrikes. However, the US has previously said that it will continue to strike Iranian-backed militias in Syria that pose a threat to US forces.
