Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that the United States has provided his country with a new package of military assistance. This announcement follows a meeting between Zelensky, U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, and the Supreme Allied Commander in Europe, Christopher Cavoli.

According to the Ukrainian news agency Ukrinform, Zelensky made these statements in his daily video address on Monday, where he said, “We discussed the situation at the front and its prospects in terms of how to strengthen both our defenses and our progress.”

He added, “There is a new defense package for our country from the United States, for which I am grateful. In particular, there will be more artillery equipment and shells that we need right now.”

As per the Ukrainian President, Kiev’s maneuvers in the Black Sea were also discussed in this trilateral meeting.
