US Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced that the United States has allocated $129 million for investments in the education and healthcare sectors.

The announcement was made during a joint press conference held today, Wednesday, at Tahrir Palace, following the launch of the US-Egypt Strategic Dialogue.

The dialogue, inaugurated by Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdel Aty and his US counterpart, aims to strengthen bilateral relations and deepen economic development between the two nations.

It also seeks to enhance cultural and educational ties between the Egyptian and American people.

Blinken’s visit to Egypt comes after his recent trip to Israel, where he sought to advance discussions aimed at securing a ceasefire in Gaza and negotiating the release of Israeli hostages in exchange for Palestinian detainees.

The joint Egyptian-American naval exercise “Eagle Defender” has recently concluded in the Southern Fleet area of the Red Sea, Egypt. The exercise involved the participation of Egyptian and American naval forces.

The activities included theoretical and practical lectures aimed at unifying training concepts between both navies. Participating forces organized a display of the weapons and equipment used in the training.

The exercise also featured live-fire surface artillery drills, aimed at neutralizing hostile targets and defending against unconventional threats.

Additionally, the training included securing a ship carrying critical cargo, firefighting aboard naval units, and various naval formations that demonstrated a high level of coordination between the participants.
