Barbara Leaf, the US Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs, is having a Middle East tour until July 14 to discuss the war in Gaza.

According to a memorandum from the US Department of State, the tour includes visits to the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Egypt, Jordan, Israel, and the West Bank. Additionally, Leaf will visit Italy.

During her tour, the US Assistant Secretary will meet with government officials to discuss ongoing diplomatic efforts to secure a ceasefire agreement, ensure the release of all hostages, and guarantee the distribution of humanitarian aid throughout the strip.

Leaf will also engage in further discussions about the post-conflict period, focusing on building lasting peace and security in the region, as stated by the Department of State.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that the death toll from Israeli aggression on Gaza has reached 38,193, with 87,903 injured, the majority being children and women, since the onset of hostilities on October 7.

In a statement, the Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that the Israeli forces committed three massacres within the past 24 hours, resulting in 40 fatalities and 75 injuries.

Thousands of victims remain trapped under rubble and in the streets, inaccessible to rescue teams, according to the Palestinian News Agency, Wafa.

The Israeli forces continue their intense and unprecedented offensive on Gaza by air, land, and sea, causing thousands of casualties, primarily among children and women.
