The United States has imposed sanctions on three Russian entities and an individual, accusing them of involvement in the transfer and testing of North Korean ballistic missiles, potentially intended for use in Russia’s conflict with Ukraine.

In a statement released through its official website on Friday, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken expressed concern over North Korea’s transfer of ballistic missiles to Russia, stating that such actions support Russia’s military efforts and exacerbate the suffering of the Ukrainian people while undermining the global non-proliferation regime.

Blinken emphasized that Washington continues to closely monitor any support provided by Russia to North Korea for these weapons and will utilize all available tools to identify and expose individuals and entities involved in the arms transfers between Pyongyang and Moscow.

He underlined that the United States will not hesitate to take further actions in response.

The expansion of sanctions against Russia marks a significant move in response to alleged collaboration between Russia and North Korea in the transfer of missile technology, further complicating the international landscape and diplomatic relations in the region.
