UN Pledges Continued Support for Peace in Yemen

Yemen’s Prime Minister, Ahmed Awad Bin Mubarak, held a phone conversation on Thursday with United Nations Deputy Secretary-General, Amina Mohammed, to discuss ways to enhance stability in Yemen’s liberated areas. The two emphasized the importance of supporting economic development efforts and projects aimed at improving living conditions in these regions.

During the discussion, according to Yemen’s official news agency Saba, both sides reviewed the current situation in Yemen and explored mechanisms for joint cooperation between the Yemeni government and UN organizations to address the humanitarian and economic challenges facing the country.

The UN Deputy Secretary-General reaffirmed that the UN remains a key partner in Yemen’s efforts to achieve peace and sustainable development.
