The Ukrainian military intelligence has announced the successful sinking of a Russian warship in the Black Sea.

The operation, carried out under the cover of night, involved several maritime drones, leading to the submersion of the missile ship “Ivanovitch.”

The strategic offensive took place off the western coast of the Crimea Peninsula, a region controversially annexed by Russia in 2014, in a move that has been widely condemned as a violation of international law.

Visual evidence provided by Ukrainian intelligence showcases multiple explosive-laden maritime drones converging on the Russian warship, resulting in a series of impactful explosions.

Reports confirm the eventual sinking of the ship, although there has been no official confirmation from Russian authorities regarding the incident.

This act adds to a series of engagements where the Ukrainian military has successfully targeted Russian naval assets in the Black Sea, employing sophisticated missile and drone technology to inflict significant damage.

This incident marks a pivotal moment in the ongoing conflict, underscoring the increasing role of unmanned aerial vehicles in modern warfare and highlighting the strategic importance of the Black Sea region in the geopolitical landscape.

The European Union (EU) leaders successfully reached an agreement to provide Ukraine with €50 billion ($54 billion) in funding over the next four years.

The deal, which had faced opposition from Hungary since the previous leaders’ summit in mid-December, has now been resolved. Charles Michel expressed his satisfaction by stating, “We have a deal. This secures steadfast, long-term, and predictable funding for Ukraine.”
